Galliacid de JEFO es un aditivo nutricional a base de ácidos orgánicos protegidos que impiden su liberación en el buche, proventrículo y molleja. Los ácidos orgánicos liberados de la matriz lipídica penetran en las células bacterianas de E. Coli, Salmonella sp, Clostridium sp, Campylobacter sp, Listeria sp bajando el pH del citoplasma y obligando a la bacteria a gastar energía para normalizar su pH. Al mismo tiempo la acidificación favorece la proliferación de Lactobacillus sp, que inhiben la colonización intestinal por las bacterias patógenas.
