La compañía HatchTech B.V. ha diseñado el sistema HatchBrood, éste está especialmente enfocado para controlar el entorno del primer día de la vida de un pollito, el período de cría. Después del nacimiento, se coloca a los pollitos de un día en la unidad HatchBrood. En este sistema se controlan variables ambientales tales como temperatura y velocidad del aire, humedad relativa y CO. Aquí, los pollitos tienen acceso a agua fresca, alimento y aire fresco. Asimismo, los pollitos cuentan con temperatura corporal óptima continuamente, comenzarán a comer y a beber de inmediato, para un buen inicio. Después de cuatro días, se trasporta a los pollitos a la granja, para que continúen su período de producción.
