El auge de las exportaciones brasileñas del cereal aumentó las cotizaciones internas, afectando a los productores —y también exportadores— de proteína animal.
La falta de integración plena con la primera cadena de insumos vuelve a pasarle factura a la poderosa avicultura brasileña, segunda exportadora mundial de carne de pollo. Eso se desprende de un reporte publicado por la agencia Bloomberg en el que se explica que el alto costo del maíz está afectando las ganancias de las avícolas.
