Este acontecimiento está dirigido a fomentar la producción avícola en Panamá en la provincia de Chiriquí.

En Panamá se realizó la sexta edición del Festival del Pollito en la provincia de Chiriquí, este evento tiene la finalidad de incentivar la crianza de pollos y ampliarla a otros segmentos de la producción panameña, apoyando el crecimiento económico de la población de escasos recursos.

A través de esta iniciativa se otorga apoyo a las familias más vulnerables, distribuyendo pollos de engorde, alimentos para la crianza, y productos de sanidad para evitar posibles enfermedades avícolas. Luego, ellos podrán comercializar estas aves y aumentar sus rentas.

Este acontecimiento contó con una maratón, a continuación se llevó a cabo una feria libre y se realizó un concurso que premió al pollo que pesaba más libras, resultando ganador un pollo de 12.5 libras.
