Salvador: Pérdidas en los granos y en el sector avícola

Emergencia Nacional por intensas lluvias en el Salvador, impactando gravemente a los cultivos de cereales y algunas granjas avícolas de este país.

La Asociación de Proveedores Agrícolas de El Salvador ha señalado que por las persistentes lluvias acontecidas en los últimos días aproximadamente un tercio de la producción de cereales se perderá, y que un porcentaje semejante de la cosecha de maíz estaría dañada.

Por otra parte, el presidente de la Cámara Agropecuaria, CAMAGRO, Sr. Agustín Martínez manifestó que el daño en algunas zonas de cultivos se ha vuelto irreversible, debido principalmente a las inundaciones producidas en el área costera.

Es más, el Sr. Martinez especificó que en la zona de Zapotitán también se han visto afectadas granjas de ponedoras y pollos.

El presidente de CAMAGRO convocó a reaccionar rápidamente ante esta situación, por lo cual incentivo a importar granos básicos, previniendo alzas en los precios y escases de productos en el mercado.
