Resurge la influenza aviar en México

Ahora en el estado de Aguascalientes, en donde ya se sacrificado 284,755 aves

Anoche, el periódico Reforma anunció que el gobierno del estado Aguascalientes, ubicado en el Occidente del país y muy cercano a la zona del brote anterior de Jalisco, y el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria, Senasica, “confirmaron un brote de influenza aviar en dos granjas y el cierre de esos focos de infección, luego del sacrificio de 284,755 aves”.

El asunto se mantuvo en un hermetismo total hasta anoche. No obstante, fue el avicultor el que avisó a las autoridades. Las dos granjas productoras de huevo afectadas están ubicadas en el municipio de San Francisco de los Romo, al norte del Estado. El gobierno del estado asegura que el brote de influenza aviar de alta patogenia está controlado. Para ello, “se procedió a la despoblación de las dos granjas de aves de postura en las cuales se localizó el brote, tras lo cual el Senasica declaró el cierre de los focos de infección que provocaron la enfermedad”.

En la zona, donde se ubican siete granjas, dos de postura y cinco de de pollo de engorda, además de otras 13 que se encuentran en el área perifocal, se aplicarán 6 millones de vacunas.

Senasica señaló que el brote surgió este 3 de enero pasado y confirmó ayer que se trata del virus A H7N3, con una genética similar en 99 por ciento al que afectó a Los Altos de Jalisco en junio pasado.

Cabe resaltar que Aguascalientes aporta menos del 1 por ciento de la producción de huevo, pero sí un 10 por ciento de la producción de pollo.
