El Secretario de Economía, Bruno Ferrari, entregó el galardón

Ante destacadas personalidades de los sectores académico, empresarial y gubernamental, en una ceremonia en México, DF, el 1 de noviembre se hizo entrega de los Premios Nacionales de Tecnología e Innovación 2012. Dicho premio es el máximo reconocimiento que otorga el gobierno mexicano a aquellas organizaciones que cuentan con procesos explícitos, sostenidos y sistemáticos aplicados a la administración de sus recursos financieros, materiales y humanos, así como a sus áreas de investigación, desarrollo tecnológico e innovación.

Con este reconocimiento, se hizo énfasis en las empresas que invierten en ciencia y tecnología, con la idea de que sea una decisión redituable. Aunado a esto, cabe mencionar que el Srio. Ferrari hizo una mención especial de que Avimex fue una de las empresas que trabajó en el desarrollo y producción de la vacuna contra la influenza aviar, lo que ha llevado a que ya no haya dicho problema sanitario en el país. Con esto, se reafirma que hay que aumentar la productividad.

Aunque México es un país que todavía invierte muy poco en investigación y desarrollo (solamente el 0.46 por ciento del PIB), destacaron que el 64 por ciento de las exportaciones de Latinoamérica provienen de México, y que de éstas, más de la mitad son de productos de alta tecnología.
