El Dr. Sergio Fernández fue estudiante del Dr. Carl M. Parsons en la Universidad de Illinois

El Dr. Sergio Fernández, de DSM Nutritional Products de México y vicepresidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Especialistas en Nutrición Animal, ha sido nombrado a formar parte de la mesa directiva de la Poultry Science Association de EUA. Cabe hacer énfasis que en los 108 años de existencia de esta asociación, es la primera vez que se nombra a un extranjero (a excepción de los canadienses), por lo que “para Amena [y todo el gremio de México] es un gran orgullo”, dice su presidente, Ma. Teresa Viana.

El Dr. Fernández es miembro de la Poultry Science Association desde hace 26 años, desde que era estudiante de posgrado, pero también ha desempeñado cargos como el de presidente del Comité de Planificación a Largo Plazo o su participación en la evaluación del Plan Estratégico 2005-2010. Su participación, así como su gran experiencia y conocimientos lo han llevado a ocupar este puesto.
