Latinoamérica produce 15 mil millones de pollos

El Ing. Agustín Martínez, presidente de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Avicultura (ALA) dijo en la inauguración del XXIV Congreso Latinoamericano de Avicultura, que se celebra en Guayaquil, Ecuador que “la industria avícola representa el 35 por ciento del PIB pecuario”. Pero se dieron muchas citas importantes. Pablo Anhalzer, presidente de la Corporación de Avicultores del Ecuador (Conave) dijo también que “América Latina produce el 20 por ciento de la carne mundial, pero puede ser mucho más", pues contamos con un enorme potencial. Además, dijo que producimos “alrededor de 15,000 millones de pollos" al año, cifra que es realmente sorprendente en el contexto mundial.

Andar por los pasillos de la expo, abarrotados de gente en los stands, o asistir a las serie de conferencias que se han dado en este primer día de actividades, da gusto. Mucha actividad, muchos negocios y mucho intercambio de ideas y comunicación han caracterizado este evento.

Mañana jueves esperamos otro día igual o mejor. Además, WATT Global Media entregará también los premios del Salón de la Fama de la Avicultura Latinoamericana.
