Garantizada la producción y abasto de huevo y pollo en México en 2013

A pesar de las contingencias, el país logrará buenas cifras de producción

La Unión Nacional de Avicultores dice que está garantizada la producción y abasto de huevo y pollo en el país. Según se informa en su portal, se calcula que la producción de huevo en 2013 será de dos millones 547 mil toneladas. El estado Jalisco participa con el 55 por ciento de la producción; Puebla el 15 por ciento; Sonora el 8 por ciento; la región de La Laguna el 5 por ciento; Yucatán el 4 por ciento; Sinaloa, 3 por ciento; Nuevo León, 2 por ciento y finalmente Guanajuato con el  2 por ciento. 

En cuanto a la producción de pollo, se prevé alcanzar este año las tres millones dos mil toneladas. Los principales estados o regiones productoras son: Veracruz (11 por ciento), Querétaro (11 por ciento), La Laguna (10 por ciento), Aguascalientes (10 por ciento), Puebla (7 por ciento), Jalisco (6 por ciento), Yucatán (6 por ciento), Chiapas (5 por ciento), Estado de México (5 por ciento), Guanajuato (5 por ciento), Sinaloa (5 por ciento), Hidalgo (3 por ciento), Nuevo León (3 por ciento), San Luis Potosí (3 por ciento), Michoacán (2 por ciento) y Morelos (2 por ciento).
