Quintal de maíz para el productor subió 27 por ciento en noviembre

Los productores vinculados a la Asociación Nacional de Avicultores de Bolivia (ADA) anunciaron que para las fiestas decembrinas, una de la temporadas de mayor consumo del alimento, es muy probable que se presente un incremento significativo en el precio del kilo de carne de pollo.

De acuerdo con Ricardo Alandia, presidente de ADA, el incremento se explicaría por el alza de costos de producción, principalmente en el valor del maíz, que a su juicio “ha subido las últimas dos semanas de manera alarmante, pasando de los 68 bolivianos (US$9.80) a los 90 bolivianos (US$13.00) el quintal (46 kilos)”.

El mismo directivo gremial señaló que este aumento en el valor del grano al productor se presenta por desabastecimiento interno, fruto a su vez de varios episodios de avasallamiento o invasión de tierras por parte de campesinos y comunarios partidarios del actual gobierno boliviano, hechos a grandes predios habitualmente destinados al cultivo del cereal, materia prima para la industria avícola.

Agregó que una situación similar se presenta con el sorgo, que creció en sus cotizaciones de 38 bolivianos (US$5.38) a 52 bolivianos (US$7.37) en el mismo lapso. “Esta situación podría agravarse en las próximas semanas debido a que no está llegando el grano del campo”, puntualizó Alandia indicando que “el kilo de carne de pollo ya se está entregando a 13 bolivianos (US$1.84) a los comerciantes, para que lo vendan al consumidor final a 13.5 bolivianos (US$1.91)”.
