La multinacional estadounidense controla el 21.8% de la producción de carne de pollo en Colombia con Campollo y Pollos Bucanero, pero en 2018 no vio ganancias.
Pollos Bucanero y Campollo, las dos empresas adquiridas recientemente por Cargill en Colombia (en 2017 y en 2018, respectivamente), generaron las mayores pérdidas netas dentro de la avicultura comercial en dicho país andino y durante la pasada vigencia.
