Bachoco notifica posible brote de influenza aviar

Aunque está por confirmarse, ya se están tomando las medidas necesarias

Según informaciones del periódico Reforma publicadas la tarde de este jueves, Bachoco “detectó un posible brote de influenza aviar tipo H7N3, en cinco de sus granjas reproductoras ubicadas en el estado de Guanajuato”.

La empresa informó que la influenza aviar es similar a la detectada en 2012 en granjas de huevo comercial de otros productores en el vecino estado de Jalisco. “La compañía está en proceso de verificar este hecho en conjunto con las autoridades correspondientes, y de llegar a confirmarse, trabajará en conjunto con la autoridades sanitarias mexicanas para tomar las acciones de contención necesarias”.

Como en todos los casos de un brote, la compañía “está reforzando sus medidas de bioseguridad en todas las instalaciones productivas, particularmente en las granjas reproductoras, las cuales están dispersas por todo el país, una práctica común de Bachoco para reducir riesgos de esta índole”. También, está analizando posibles alternativas para mitigar los posibles efectos.

Bachoco es la mayor empresa productora de pollo en México, la tercera de Latinoamérica y la octava más grande del mundo, con aproximadamente 503 millones de pollos al año.
