Mexicana Bachoco se acerca a la experiencia exportadora chilena

La firma avícola azteca vende al año, en el mercado interno, cerca de tres billones de dólares

Chile es uno de los tres países productores habilitados para exportar carne de pollo a los Estados Unidos, el mercado más rentable del mundo. No sucede lo mismo con México, pese a la cercanía geográfica y los diferentes acuerdos comerciales bilaterales entre las dos naciones vecinas norteamericanas.

Precisamente, una delegación de Bachoco, el mayor productor y comercializador de productos avícolas mexicano, visitó la Asociación de Productores Avícolas de Chile (APA) “para conocer la mirada que tiene la entidad gremial sobre el desarrollo de la industria avícola latinoamericana y nacional, focalizándose en la inserción de empresas productoras de aves chilenas en el mercado estadounidense”, según informa un comunicado oficial de APA Chile publicado el 25 de marzo de este año.

La comitiva mexicana estuvo encabezada por el gerente de Finanzas de Bachoco, Daniel Salazar, quien resaltó la capacidad de Chile como exportador de pollo a Estados Unidos. En este sentido, Juan Miguel Ovalle, presidente de APA Chile, precisó que “el mercado estadounidense es el principal destino de las exportaciones de pollo nacional”.

Bachoco cotiza sus acciones en la Bolsa Mexicana y ha realizado inversiones en otros países de América Latina, incluido Chile. “Somos un conglomerado integrado verticalmente, que controla todos los aspectos de la producción y distribución, lo cual nos permite ejercer control sobre sus costos y mantener altos estándares de calidad, servicio y eficiencia”, aseguró Salazar en su visita al país austral.
