Los altos precios del trigo y el buen clima son los factores que contribuyen al crecimiento

En comparación con la campaña agrícola 2012-2013, los productores argentinos de trigo planean ampliar su cosecha en un 40 por ciento para 2013-2014, a cerca de 4.5 millones de hectáreas, según el secretario de Agricultura, Lorenzo Basso. La temporada 2012 tuvo 3.16 millones de hectáreas, la superficie más pequeña de la historia, según el gobierno de ese país.

Argentina está dando devoluciones de impuestos a los agricultores para compensar el gravamen del 23 por ciento a las exportaciones de trigo y ayudar a revertir la tendencia en el crecimiento de otros cultivos. “La superficie de siembra de trigo se incrementará por varias razones: las devoluciones, la buena humedad del suelo y las mejores condiciones del mercado”, dijo Basso.

Funcionarios argentinos han autorizado la exportación de 5 millones de toneladas de trigo para la temporada 2013-2014, como parte de la campaña para aumentar la producción.
