Restricción a carne de pavo peruana para ingresar a Ecuador

Entidad ecuatoriana impone barreras a importaciones de carne de pavo congelada desde Perú, asignando un sistema de cuotas.

El gobierno ecuatoriano aplicó una nueva restricción al ingreso de productos peruanos a su territorio. Esta medida atañe a la carne de pavo congelada, la cual podrá ingresar a Ecuador bajo un sistema de cuotas, según la resolución 596 emitida por el Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones de Ecuador (Comexi). En definitiva esta medida afecta a los países de la Comunidad Andina, exceptuando Bolivia. Por lo cual, los países afectados son Perú y Colombia, con vigencia hasta el 31 de diciembre de este año 2010.

De acuerdo a la Asociación de Exportadores (ADEX), el mercado ecuatoriano es el segundo destino de este tipo de carne peruana. Las importaciones ecuatorianas de pavos desde Perú ascendieron a US$4.8 millones entre enero y septiembre de este año, equivalente a un aumento de 12% con respecto al mismo período del año 2009.

Por otra parte, la Asociación Peruana de Avicultura (APA) en un comunicado oficial informó que está totalmente dispuesta a trabajar en conjunto con las autoridades peruanas para solucionar la situación.
